A china cigarette holder and an onyx cigarette box with a bronze Bonzo on the lid, both rare items

Several small figurines were made to fit on pin cushions.  The figures were German made, but where the cushions were added isn't known. The one on the right is missing its cushion, but has a holder on its back for larger pins.

The fine china company Hutschenreuther factory made items that rivaled Royal Worcester for quality and detail and this particular piece is one of the rarer Bonzo pieces. Designed by Max Fehr in the 1920s, it has superb detail, down to the gold leaf collar & ball.  The Hutschenreuther Selb Bavaria lion mark in green is printed on the base.
